Iam not sure whether I can ask this over here, but it's a related request. Iam in need of Krishna's song. I do not know the exact malayalam name of the song. Iam from Tamil Nadu, but can understand Malayalam. The song which Iam referring goes like this.....kani kannum pothu.... kannnane bhagavane.......

I can only remember these words. This song's tune has been used as background music for Movie Nandhanam. (I love the movie nandhanam - watched more than 5 times) One of my keralite friend told me that it's called iyanapaana (I didn't pronounced correctly -sorry for that didn't know). May I have the lyric's in English, if you have. Thanks a million.

I think what you asked for is "Kani kanum neram". This is a very popular song in Malayalam dedicated to Lord Krishna. I am posting the Malayalam lyrics in English here. Hope this is what you expected... And what you are referring as "iyanapaana" may be "Jnanappana" by [SIZE=-1]Poonthanam Namboodiri. But I don't think this song belong to [/SIZE] Jnanappana. Eventhough the song is sung anytime, it is most commonly used during "Vishu" festival in April.

Iam going to by heart this. If I want a CD on this, how can I ask the shops. What's the exact name to be asked. Or can I listen to this online like Raaga - Hindi Tamil Telugu and Malayalam Songs and Videos And regarding "iyanapaana", yeah you are right it is infact " Jnanappana". Thanks for correcting me.
