Part 11!
KG wrote to Yamini asking for the mail IDs of all the Tamilnadu members of WomenWorldWide.com. He sent the invitation for the book-release function to all those members.

The invitation held a surprise for Yamini.

K.Gopalan invites you for the release of his first book, “God Is The Other Name For Love” .

Miss Yamini Ramamurthy, Founder WomenWorldWide.com will release the book and the Academy Award Winning Writer Arvind will receive the first copy.

Yamini first thought against going to the function. But then she did not want to disappoint KG.

And this would also teach that braggart Arvind a lesson or two. She was no longer the crazy fan waiting to see Arvind in his office.

She was now a VVIP in her own merit and had an equal status with that arrogant writer.

Part 12!

Many people were eagerly looking forward to the dawning of May 1<sup>st</sup>. And not exactly for KG’s book release function.

The Inspector had produced a CD before the Metropolitan Magistrate and convinced him about Yamini and her accomplices propagating pornography through her site.

The Magistrate was more convinced by the money he received from the Boss’ agent than the lousy arguments put forward by a mediocre lawyer and the dull images (purported to be in the CD) that he strained himself to see in an out-dated computer.

He issued a search warrant and an arrest warrant authorizing the Police Officer to apprehend with such force as may be necessary one Miss Yamini Ramamurthy, daughter of Mr.S.Ramamurthy, residing at….

For the sun which had just started to illuminate the world on 1<sup>st</sup> May, it was just another day of honest work. But not for those who were involved with WomenWorldWide.com. or KNR properties.

Very few knew that their lives would be turned upside down during the course of a single day.

Part 13!

Ramamurthy opened the main door of the house at <st1:time hour="17" minute="30" w:st="on">half past five</st1:time> to pick up the morning papers. He was surprised to see a group of women standing before the house.

There were twenty women all dressed in black sarees. He went out to find the reason.

He was perfectly clueless and dismissed that sight as some freak incident.
Yamini was assisting Kripa in some site restoration work. Parvathi was busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast.

Though Parvathi was almost normal now they had decided to retain the cook and the nurse for one more month, just in case. But Parvathi made it clear that cooking food for the family would be her sole responsibility.

Around <st1:time hour="19" minute="30" w:st="on">half past seven</st1:time> a police vehicle came to a screeching halt before the house.

A Police Inspector got down from the vehicle. He was accompanied by four constables one of which was a woman.

Ramamurthy was shocked to see the Policemen when he answered the bell.

“My name is Kumar, Inspector of Police. This is my ID card. We have a warrant from the Metropolitan Magistrate to search your premises.”

“What for, Officer?”

“We have got reliable information that pornographic materials are there in this premises. They are intended to be uploaded into…”

The Inspector took a piece of paper from his pocket and read out the name of the website.

Ramamurthy tried his best to object, but the Inspector ignored him and entered the house.

The inmates of the house were shocked. The search operation went for more than forty five minutes.

In the meanwhile they heard voices coming from outside. The Inspector and Ramamurthy ran out to see what caused that kind of ruckus.

A group of women volunteers were shouting slogans against Yamini. They were holding placards and were demanding Yamini’s arrest.

Even then Ramamurthy did not suspect that KNR Properties might have orchestrated those moves.

“You see, the whole town knows about it. Don’t try to play games with me, okay?”

Ramamurthy was speechless.

Part 14!

The Inspector then signaled to one of the constables. He in turn signaled to the woman constable.

They both went in to Yamini’s office room. The Inspector stood guard at the door to prevent anybody else from entering the room.

The male constable planted a carry-bag containing hundreds of CDs in one of the cup-boards.

He also planted a few small polythene bags containing some white substance in the pull-out tray of Yamini’s desk.

A few seconds later the woman constable went in and ‘discovered’ the CDs and the packets.

She called the Inspector in a loud voice to announce her discovery.

Unknown to the Inspector a small, powerful camera embedded in a mobile phone had taken a video of the police constable’s act of planting the CDs and the packets.

The Inspector came to the drawing room where the entire family was waiting for him.

“Miss Yamini Ramamurthy I have no other option than to arrest you for holding pornographic CDs and cocaine powder.”

Just a street away Janaki was chanting Sri Sooktham for the twelfth time that morning as if she were possessed.

“maha devyaischa vidmahe vishnu pathnischa dheemahi
thannao lakshmi prachothayath.”

She delivered the final words in a higher pitch and as it always happened at the height of one’s devotion, she slipped into a trance.

Dear Sridhar,

Sriniketan is right, this episode was like a roller-coaster ride! I was done with reading as soon as I started..meaning..narration just flies!

Well, we already see how the evil deed has been beneficial to Yamini. Is it not a miracle that her mother, who was bed ridden for so long is suddenly able to run as soon as she heard her daughter scream..It is almost like the old Manmohan Desai movies which always carried an element of miracle The miscreants could not have given Yamini a better gift !! Well, so much ill will in this saga of love seems a bit misplaced, but then, one does end up appreciating the good even more only after one faces the evil...

You have made Sri Sooktam a very functional weapon against evil. It encourages the bhakti bhava in the reader and one wants to pick up the sloka and read it at once! I too wish for a Janaki in my life! One must be really fortunate to have a friend and well wisher like her. The penance she did was daunting.

Thanks to our technology and thanks to all our cell phones! I love the one which took those secret pictures of the police misconduct. I bet I will love the owner of that phone even more...Waiting to know the person now!

Dear Sridhar,

A fantabulous episode.... My heart was beating sooo fast.. Unknowilngly I too started uttering the sri sookthan with Janaki... What a soul she is.

KG and Janaki's conversation ....I just loved it...devoured every word of it by the time I finished reading that passage, my throat was choked.

As Kamla says... me too waiting for the owner of the cell phone... that was a splendid move rather a checkmate move..

Mothathilla..one faced paced episode..hope my BP would not have shot up (otherwise bills will be sent to you Sri). great going.... you have come back after the break with a vengence Sri or is it the SJ creating the miracle?

Dear Sridhar ,
thumbsup:thumbsup ... I started reading La 13 ( the moment you posted it ) with a trembling heart & ended reading it with the same feeling ! I had the feeling as if the characters have got life & were moving about just before my eyes ! Wonderful episode Sridhar ! KG's story made me cry like the little boy who cried bitterly burying his head on his mother's lap !
LA 13 is extre......mely good ! :thumbsup I admire your writing skill , Sridhar ! God bless you !

Dear Vara,

Sooo much of action packed from the previous two episodes...was very eager to know about yam's scream...poor girl ...what does she know about the destiny has in store for her...

happy that parvathi got cured....Janaki is a great soul indeed.
As usual KG's small story about the boy and his mother was very touching..
