    Hai all! Actually we are planning to move to Long Island city, NY. Can anyone please suggest me a good area with indian population and also I need suggesstions regarding finding a good apartment. Thanks

    Hey.. LIC is an awesome place to live!! There are wonderful new buildings there..

    East Coast LIC
    Avalon North

    fabulous places to stay.. and you have the perfect view of NYC.. and wonderful little restaurants, and about 10 mins from Jackson Heights, aka Little India..

    Wow, Sudha, i was abt to start a thread abt this. I am looking for an apartment with amenties like gym, play area for kids and something like that included but in decent rent in Long Island with Indian restaurent and grocery shops and with Indian community. Pls suggest me ladies.

    hi Sanravi,
    what is ur budget, i am at the easstern end of long island, near stony brook area and there r quite a few complexes here with facilities but u have to remember, LI and NY r very expensive compared to other states
    apts start at 1000-1100$ for 1br here!!!!!!!!!

    Yes, 1000 to 1100$ is ok for me for single bed room.
    where do u live exactly.. is ur place close by to indian grocery store, patel? are there adequate shopping area around? How abt indian people there? any amenities included in ur apartment?

    Hi Sudha,

    I am a tamilian from Chennai and I have a beautiful (new) home with 3 floors in Famringdale ny. It is about 40 minutes commute by train to NYC. I live with my wife and I would like to rent main floor with 3 BRs to Hindu Female professionals.
