Hi there all, i got a job offer at kampala, in a Pharma company @ Mukono-Kampala,want to know more about the city, life, schooling, security, expenses. If i get co. owned accomodation, driver, petrol & car etc. how much money more is required to meet both ends as well as more details. pl. help me. Vikaas
hi vikas, congrats.mukono is a very well respected company so its a good oportunity. normally accomodation charges put a big hole in pocket but as company is paying for it then it would be less expensive. education is very expensive & u will find the fee structore of all schools on their website.google for schools in kampala......... then other expenses like food, clothes, entertainemt is left which depends on family to family but i guess 1000 $ per mth for these is fair amount... there is another thread about kampala.chk that for any information & feel free to ask anything else u want to know. pragati
Dear Ms. Pragati, I see that you are helping out the forum with so much info- We were living in UAE and now moved to India, but planning to relocate to Kampala. I have a school going daughter -8th grade; 1> is there any good international school with high level education facility? and what will be the monthly fee? 2> what will be rent for a 3-bed room furnished apartment in a secure gated compound? Any reply you give will be very appreciated. Best Regards
