I ve been gone for just a week and u all ve breezed into season 5. I shud be up on my toes and following closely i guess. I read thru close to 25 pages. I ll type in my responses as I remember.

Am joining u on the weight loss wagon. I ve 16 kgs to shed and my knees are hurting already. Iam trying to be regular. but gorgre on bad kinda foods. lets keep each other motivated. And V talking abt eggs in India is so smart. Kids sure are smart these days.

issues with maid is something that can really rattle teh strong willed. My moms household literally depends on her coming at teh rigth time.

hows ur break from work? R u getting soem quiet time?

Hugs. I wasnot there when u were going thru the stress. I had been there and know how tough it is decide for or against it. Atleats now u know its not a baby. even seasonal changes sometimes affect menstruation . if u r thyroid and hormonela levels are normal try may be taking sesame seeds with jaggery. It usually works if the delay is just idiopathic or seasonal.

I love herbal teas as they dont irritate ur stomach like normal tea does and yet be refreshing. Lil A wanna go exploring in teh bus? haha. can u drive ? tht way u can strap her in carseat and she migth be ahppy to just see the action thru window without wanting to take part. I dont knwo driving yet. but if u do it could help ur errands as well.

kids start repeating teh words first without knowing teh meaning but sooner tehy ll learnb to assoscite them with teh things tehy represent.

me too had breakthrough bleeding with pills and getting to see a doc and getting prescription here is such a long wait tht i really was scared tht ill bleed to death b4 they even saw me.

try with spoon. its seasier as u can control teh amount she eats and teh cahnces of choking are very less and u can amke teh rice gruel as watery or thick as u want it.

hope all of u are doing well.
I had some issues with my Dh tht was bothering me. i tried to talk and got so emotional and dint continue. the thing is i feel he s not ready to talk abt it either and probably thts y wasnt very reciprocative. the lack of reciprocation and me getting emotional stopped any real progress.tht was the main reason i was not logging in. i was just too hurt to do anything. am feeling better and iam not gonna initiate tht topic until he wants to. i shud learn when not to push. i do that with A too. I must understand tht poeple take their own time ot come to terms with things. I wish I had been better with Lil A from teh start. now am learning alot of things. but patience is something am yet to master. may be if i did that it ll amke my life easier. Thanks for hearing me out.

One nice thing that happened was A slept in on monday and we missed her swim lessons cos even after we got ready we missed the bus tht takes us there and i dont drive.and i was reminding her how she not going to bed early the prev night has made her miss her fav activity and dh comes home and asks her whetehr she went swimming A said no she missed teh bus and i ask her why did u miss the bus expecting her to say i slep late r sumthng like that. instead she says i missed teh bus cos teh bus left without me. LOl. kids.

Well; I am writing immediately; coz I wanted to be in the first page.

Life around cardboard boxes; everything brown.
Can't wait to move; yet a part of heart is aching thinking about the move. My first place in US..so many memories attached it. I know I am sounding kiddish

Well; the cleaners ditched us today. I wanted tot get the house cleaned before moving in. Hope the movers doesn't ditch us
We took the internet connection in the new place.

Chinnu is already helping me to unpack I am telling her to wait for a few more days and then I could use her unpacking skills )
Today morn; she took car keys and "hanged" Jays watch in her hands and told me" Kinan Tata" and gave a wave. Ohh she calls herselves Kinan(Kiran). And when I asked her what is in her hands she told"Key" and "Botch". Botch for "watch". Well; I should happy that she don't pronounce it as Scotch:rotfl

I will read all the posts once everything is settled down. Planning to take up a course; if time and husband's money permits) I was eyeing on Ph.d; since I have masters with double specialisation, I don't want to take another Masters. Too boring and I would like doctor prefix

Cooool ... we are into season 5. Has anyone started with their rants ... no. Okay let me take the honour of doing that ... me & DH not in good terms for the last 5 days. We are only talking on & off. Thanks to our kiddos who are the main reasons for this - different believes in parenting I guess. And what is it with husbands finding faults with everything while wife is driving. Was the person who gave me driving license insane to give me a license? What the hell is my DH thinking. The moment I sit in the driving seat when he is there, he just goes crazy :rant. I am going insane. For a couple of hours we are okay, something or the other comes up and we are fighting - it is frustrating.

Off I go, I've to feed DS2 - it is already late today. Good night.

Yes Sindhu i had the best n the worst maid. Prev one served contr of 2 yrs n left to get married.

Latha not very sure on the pricings, what we came across costed n crores. We purchased a land of 40 cents for 65,000 per cent. Well the land is on a hill top with a waterfall view. DH is planning a resort kind of a thing n he have n number of plans. He wants it to happen soon as he's sick of this pressurised IT job. Hes been working from 9.am to 11 or 12 midnight and on sat n sundays for the past 1 1/2 yrs n still continues. Think of the life we're leading...it sucks......He says i might as well work for my own business like this n find satisfaction rather than managing n reporting.....
S i'm surviving on part time.She comes daily for 1.5 hrs.

Ramya the proj i was working has been outsourced to wipro n moved 2 India. I'm still on mat lve n they r trying to place me n other proj....i'm hoping it to be delayed as i'm nt yet prepared to lve this lil one.

seasons 5 haaaann?

oh my rants girls!

I am happy, sad, angry, tensed, etc etc etc..

happy only because we are on seasons 5.. the rest because the day started of fine but got worse by the time we started to drive to work.. I was way too tensed because of some silly arguments with parents but DH was cool but on the way he banged into the barigates (partition) on the road because a office bus was about to crash into our car boot.. with some chaos there, we got into the car and DH screamed at me for having insisted to drop off DS at my moms in the morning..if we hadnt done that, we would have left earlier and traffic would have been lesser. He was lucky that I was calm, heared him vent out and importantly I was in my senses and was waiting for him to come back to his senses! after a while we pulled over and got down to check what amt of damage was done to ur car.. hmmm not bad.. just a patch of paint work here and there on the front bumper side will do. I politely told him to drive slow. the other car of ours is still in the workshop and now we have to send this one too (though for minor work).. from this evening he is not going to drive for few days.. I will drive and he shuts up and sits beside.

 

very competitive Dr Nitha, eh? I have been wondering about an MPhil and Ph.D. too. Kinan and Kiyan. When do they get the "r" sound, I wonder. Too cute though. I think I will miss the day he calls himself Kiran.
Amitha, that would be my husband too. I had these dreams of long drives on my motorbike with both of us cosying up, when we were newly married. But it was more like "Slow down, go on the left lane, what were you thinking overtaking that bus, are you sure you want to be riding behind that truck" Endlessly. I know it will be worse when I drive a car, so not going to do that. Maybe learn to ride a proper motorbike and bug the heck out of DH ;-)
CC, I have been taking sesame seeds to reduce PMS and that has worked really well. Incidentally, been spotting all morning. So probably everything is on track, after almost 14 days delay. I have been meaning to go to the Gyn for the urticaria I used to get with ovulation. That too is not happening after I started sesame seeds. I probably will settle for some natural progesterone creams after talking to my gyn. Hopefully that will take care of things.
SS, just yesterday I was talking to a friend who was also put on BCP to stop her periods. Hugs, that must be exhausting. I believe with progesterone only pills you can start at anytime unlike the combinaiton pills - not sure where I read that. I was wanting to see if minipill will help me better than combination pills, when I was bf-ing. At that time my sex drive was shot anyways, so did not bother about pills ;-). When I was on estrogen-progesterone pills I used to get these huge headaches and breast tenderness all the time.
Incidentally, we got our Food processor, but I am still figuring it out. Any idea how to mince vegetables. We tried doing that with spinach with the pulsing function this morning and it ended up liquidizing the spinach instead . Do veggies have to be fresh for the mincer to work. It is a Glen brand and came well recommended.:-(
p.s. AD, thank god you both were safe. He must have been shaken. I have heard DH do this too, blame the other person for all the mishap and not see what his role was

Hi everyone, so already into Season 5.

Have been reading the posts but was not in the mind set to post anything. Though I have put my papers, there is a huge amount of work and am not sure how to do it without anyones help.
God, by the time I leave this company I think I will heave a sigh of relief.
The DU head who was harsh with me when I was on leave does not want me to quit. But I have clearly told him everything that has been bothering me in the company. He wants me to think and have the final talk on Monday. Already two sittings are over, and am very clear with what I want. I just do not want to continue with this company any more, have already started thinking what I would do next and how I would utilise my time. I have requested him to reduce my notice period to one month, hope he obliges.

And on the other end DH is also not fine with his new project and new place, he is very silent and dull on the phone, for my sake he tries to talk 2 or 3 sentences, otherwise I see that he is not liking the place. And the only good thing is that the duration of the onsite is 3 months and its not extending. Hopefully he will be back in August.
Life is just stuck with all problems right now, hope we get over all this soon.

Am sorry for not replying to anyone, hope will be back to normalcy soon.

Hi Girls!! Cheers!! We are in Season 5.

Tikka - You did not look fat at all. Infact, when I saw you I was glad that there are others lke me .

AD - That must have been scary. But, dont worry about the DH rant - My dad does that all the time to my mom.

Vanathi - It is nice to have a co-sis. Like one of our friends here said - common IL's and common rants . I have two co-sis's and no SILs.. so you can imagine all the rants that we do. Sometimes, when we are all together in the kitchen MIL increases her visits to the kitchen to see/overhear if we are ranting about her )

Anitha - Vinu too used to have her food sitting at one place. I never invested in a high chair. I was looking for boosters, could never get it and finally gav eup thinking that Vinu is used to my lap. Wondering if I should get one now. Ever since she started walking /running she runs all around the house. Sometimes, she wants to sit on top of the fish tank or the gate and that drives me insane. Catch is DH will eat my head if she refuses to sit on the high chair. Also there is noplace where I can put a high chair. Right now, I got just two rooms - bedroom and kitchen. There is absolutely no place in the kitchen. Just about 4 sq. ft place and I need that to move around there. Bedroom has enopugh already - a double cot, dresser, cupboard, Vinu's shelf, laundry bag and everything. I can put it down but am sure it wont last a week. So just wondering what to do ((
One up side of this runnign around is I have got her TV addiction out and am more than happy about it.

Latha - I am never a tea/coffee person. The only tea that I stared having was Lemon tea - that too at blr on the colder days. I enjoyed having them - felt soothing. I have tried sme herbal tea once at a restaurant here - was bland. But, the kind of teas that you are saying is tempting me to beome a tea person provided I get those varieties here. And that was a really cute poem. really sweet and touchy! I also think thats a nice gift idea - I am going to give that to DH for our next anniversary. With my huge paycut I think this is the best kind of gift that I can give in plenty

Anitha - One more thing.Wat you said about nilu (wating you to feed her toys and cartoon friends),r eminds me of what my mom used to say about a cousin of hers. only diff is that she wanted them to feed animals.

Pooh - take care of yourself. be careful about the sun. My sis is also at Hyd and she too complains about the heat. Take care of zoey. Try fenugreek, it is a good natural galactagogue. You could also check with your pedi about galactagogues. I was prescribed with it when my supply went down.

Oh forgot to mention

Tikka - I too just got a new food processor - lumix like the one that my mom had. believe that there is a free demo at your door step. Glen too might be having such a thing. You can ask that guy to show you how to use the various attachments. Also, when chopping veges, I think you need to run it on the slowest speed. Try it thatw ay, if you did not already try it. Hop e it works. Nevertheless, ask for your free demo at the customer service.

Sri - Wish your LO a very happy happy first bday and very happy birthing day to you (Tikka _ got that from you. I tried it a couple of times to some moms and they were so happy. Thanks to you, I have made some moms happy till date).
