    Hi all,

Would like your inputs on this topic. Lately there are so many people travelling for leisure as if nothing has happened(In India) . Organizing parties and celebrations with many people involved ( young and aged). Are people being ignorant to the fact the pandemic is not completely over and it could affect a lot of people for their irresponsibility. Or are they just being selfish, just to please themselves.

For example: lately I have seen so many friends and family members going to out of station temples , and/or going for trips to other states and cities. Having birthday parties with many people.

The main reason I am angry is, It is not kept within themselves. They would rub it in others faces as if they have achieved something or won some sort of war. Put it up on social media and boast about it when they call.
Here I am avoiding everything, making sure the elders in our household don't travel or be out for too long so the possibility of anyone in the family contracting this virus is as minimum. But when these people rub it in our faces, few members of my family feel left out and depressed at times.

The sad reality of our society. Why cant they work together and break the chain.

How difficult is it to avoid some leisure travel and parties? The more they avoid, the faster everyone can live healthy.

I would like few suggestions from anyone here as to how to deal with these type of family and friends. And how to encourage my family to not feel down just because they are doing it doesn't mean we have to do it.

This is happening everywhere not just India. Ofcourse, unnecessary travels and get togethers should be avoided.

But atleast for few more months or even years this is going to be like this.

So expecting everyone to sit in a confined place without any social activities is difficult for people of all ages..

Ultimately we should just do what we feel is safe instead of following others.

But this is the new normal we all have to deal with it by atleast following all the hygiene and social distancing.

When the careless actions of others impact us we are bound to feel annoyed or frustrated at their irresponsibility. I did so too at some of my friends and neighbors' choices. Then, I found myself, to avoid debate, not sharing some things I am doing with friends who are even more careful than I am -- who are following more than the city/state mandated precautions. For example, the guidelines at one time said to to restrict outings to the minimum and only most essential. I cannot in all honesty say that all my outings at that time met that criteria. I once drove 1.5-2 hrs to drop off at her porch something another friend needed. In my view, it was ok as I stepped out of my car only for 2 minutes. But, my "strict" friend has been out in her car only thrice in the past 5 months. She has restricted herself and her family to only their house and backyard (not even a walk in the street).

So, we can only do our best and try to gently suggest the same to others, keeping in mind that we are not the holiest. : )

Why do you think second wave has started in Europe? The case are rising high day by day so much that there are rumours of Europe and UK going in lockdown. Just because of these rumours, stock market fell miserably this week.
What I mean to say is, this trend of going out for celebration is not only in India, but in rest of the world too.
My friend who is US is freaking out that people are coming to stores without masks.
Personally even I am witnessing this trend and I must say this is getting incremental day by day. Restaurants are crowded, people standing out of chai dukan having tea, with cigarette in their hands and chatting with pals standing very close to them what not.I am seeing calls for trekking camps too on FB.
Its only since three days that the number of cases in India are slightly coming down.
Why are people in a hurry to celebrate? Why are they not understanding that in this temptation to njoy themselves, they are harming others who can be their own family, relatives and even someone whom they dont even know.
Irony is while less and zero educated people are cautious, educated lot is behaving in the most senseless way possible.

    :hello:
In social media for that kind of boasting I reply that due pandemic I may not attend their funeral. When they call to boast, that is the moment you must create static noise in background and ged rid of the call : and switch off the phone. It is as simple as that.

All over the globe second or third wave begun. The statistics in WHO site is alarming every 24 hours. Israel has declared total lock down. But Japan learnt to live with it & begun their economic activities in full swing.

it is difficult to straighten the dog’s tail. We are not here to keep correcting the uncooperative elements. In the meanwhile, methods to be evolved to punish such gatherings going against the guidelines and norms.

Stock market in India is reported doing good with printed trillions of greenback invested in Dalal street mumbai. Many recently made windfall profits. IPOs lined up and those available for subscription as already been fully subscribed today. Indian stock market seemingly good as long as non residents money net invested. But then one fine morning when the exchange rate favourable though not share price not gone up, they dumb the shares and decamp from India. The greedy ones mostly the Indians lose heavily in such a scenerio. In other words I find Indian stocks prices makes one enigmatic how it remains least affected by pandemic despite manufacturing activity in its lowest ebb.

Now it is established Masks are to be worn by both COVID affected or unaffected. The (US) &(WHO) authorities initially said it is only advisory then mandatory for affected persons. Later they revised that it is both preventive and restrictive. But as an individual one should think about& guard him/her self. Herd mentality dangerous to adopt. If one has to shop at Costco or India mart, the person should wear protective gear not bothering about other visitors there without masks.

All cosmopolitan cities in India are of the same character. Delhi, Bangaluru, parts of Tamil Nadu & Puducherry are the places where many chose to ignore norms and the daily statistics about COVID going from bad to worse.

Stubborn indifferent Senior citizens and children to be made to sit in front of TV news channels for a while to learn how quickly people get affected because of their socialising and visiting market and restaurants and get passport to sure and quick death.

Yes, so true. Need to come to terms with the new normal, which would take a long time to get out of fear.
:) No one is the holiest, but everyone has a role to play..and ours at this point is to stay home stay safe.
I would agree. Can't generalise, but have been seeing a trend of this sort
Most times follow this sir, but there are times it would make you feel low.
Yes so true. I wish this would come true.

:hello:COVID 19 is unhappy with large gatherings making merry.

See what happened to Singer SPB. He sang for others in a shoot and earned the displeasure of COVID 19 demon.

It targeted him with others, eventually it left others but finished SPB steadily & slowly.

COVID wants others to respect it by wearing masks protective gears and maintain social distancing and follow simple living and high thinking.

    God Bless All.

A sad reality. Covid is showing us how the existence of some people is important to us. Respect other and be more responsible in the society.
There is a lot to learn from this pandemic about people and society.

It is makes one thing very clear: Not all rules are meant to be broken!!
