    Hi Ladies
    I got panchamrutham recipe from internet and made it for pooja.
    I couldn't make it exactly like at home in India.
    I added milk,yogurt right from fridge without warming or not in room temperature.
    Ghee just remains as lumps without mixing up in the milk curd mixture.
    I want to know how to make correct looking and tasting panchamrutam.

    Pls share your tips...

    @Surekhakrishna Sister,

    Sairam Here is our way of Panchamurth for Abhishekam,

    In a normal tumbler half glass of warm milk and half glass of curd (room temperature) mixed with two table spoons of Honey (Madhu) and one table spoon each of Sugar and Ghee (should be liquified)

    Mix them well and leave aside for few minutes before pooja commences.

    There is another way which our Pandit does is that a glass of honey, sugar and ghee is taken along with two tumblers each of warm milk and room temperature curd set well.

    He does the abhishekam with each one of them separately (we have about 7 silver/panchaloka idols) and the balance remaining is just mixed and distributed as Prasad, then there is no specific quantity available, it is by grace of god it comes out well.

    May baba guide you always, SAIRAM

    Hi Surekha,

    Milk, curd, honey, ghee and chopped banana mixed together gives you a fine panchamrutham. You should either add honey or sugar but honey is always best.
    This is my way of making panchamrutham. All must be in equal proportion. Heat milk and melt ghee before mixing.

    @GaythriV Sister,

    Sairam, It is long since we have interacted hope things are fine at your end, Sister are you sure you would have equal quantity of Ghee & Honey or Sugar equivalent to Milk, Curd.

    Do you distribute the panchamurth as Prasad or just do abhishekam, Just want to understand.

    Thanks, May Baba guide us always, SAIRAM

    @Saisakthi sister,

    I gave the proportion for abishekam performed at home and at last it is consumed as prasadam by us.

    I mix 1 or 2 tablespoons of each but melted ghee
