Boric powder? Are u serious? Even if you wash traces will be left. Boric powder is used to kill or get rid of ants and cockroaches. Please be careful. Traces wont may be kill you at once but why to simply load your body with toxins .

2. But there is another school of thought about the printing ink in soggy paper might contaminate the vegetable that is covered with news paper. some news paper to save cost use inferior printing ink that stays somewhat wet even after reaching destination or the reader.

For store the rice, dhal etc things.. I usually used rock salt should be tied in a small cloth then I kept that bags in those things. No insects will come...

Good to know the ammonia in hot water tip to clean stained vessels. I have a lot of expensive cookware that looks stained and old. Will certainly be trying, thanks!
