    Vishnuvardhan (born 18 September 1950) is a popular actor and singer in the Indian state of Karnataka. He is popularly regarded as one of the most versatile, talented, stylish and popular actors in theKannada film Industry. His role in romantic, action, emotional, music, comedy or a family dramas have been widely popular in Kannada. Born Sampath Kumar, he adopted the name Vishnuvardhan at the instance of Puttanna Kanagal who directed his maiden film Nagarahavu.

    Ooh thats a real sad news, though i haven't seen any of his flims..... but i know he is a popular figure in Kannada film industry. i guess he is as popular as Dr Rajkumar.

    I am speechless. Really very shocking news and cant believe . sad indeed. He is very popular actor in Kannada. Its really a great loss of kannada industry. His 200th movie Aptharakshaka is yet to release.

    I've seen many of his movies & some of them are really worth watching.
    He acted in a Tamil movie 'Mazhalai Pattalam' directed by Actress Lakshmi, a hilarious & an interesting movie.
