I am using Revlon kajal and it is very good. Doesn't smudge.

for waterline, i use a top coat of mac powerpoint and then top it off with maybelline gel eyeliner. i have big wide eyes and i am not a pro with using an eyeliner for my lashline so i have never given it a shot, should do one of these days.. this combo lasts for hours! and is TOTALLY smudge-free... i don't mind re-applying after a few hours (this combo stays for up to 4 hrs intact, which is more than i can ask for) but i used to have awful issues with kajal running down my eyes.. i have super oily skin so this is like heaven for me!

recently i have started using lakme absolute ultimate and it has the same dark effect as the above combo in one product and is smudge free and stays for up to 3 hrs on my waterline...

there's another trick i follow if i am in the mood and do have the time for it.. i have read that this works for any brand of kajal so u shud give it a shot.. apply one coat of kajal on ur waterline and dab some loose powder/compact on it.. i know it sounds scary but trust me, i have had no issues with infection whatsoever (anyone with sensitive eyes, think twice).. and reapply another coat of kajal on top of it.. this helps absorbing all the oiliness from ur eyes and from the kajal and prevents any racoon eye disaster.. also dab powder around ur eyes...

i used to use it too - it is super dark and glides very smoothly but it does smudge a lot!
