Buttercrunch lovers, today is your day. It's National Buttercrunch Day. Today you can enjoy buttercrunch ice cream, candy, or anything buttercrunch.
Spend the day with one of your favorite snacks. Make it your personal goal to have something with buttercrunch at each meal, and as a snack. Tomorrow, you can return to the diet.

Origin of National Buttercrunch Day: Without a doubt, this day was created by an individual or group that just loves Buttercrunch. Perhaps, they were so busy enjoying their favorite treat, that they failed to document their creation and get the crunchy credit!
There is no evidence to suggest that this is truly a "National" day, which requires an act of congress.

Today is Popcorn day :)

This is found on a website sharing with you all:

National Popcorn Day

When : January 19th
The origins of this holiday are unknown. We have not found any information or documentation to confirm this is a true "National" day. But, don't let that pop (burst) your bubble, err pop your corn that is. It's a day to celebrate healthy (until you load it with salt and butter), and addicting popcorn.
Strangely, National Popcorn Day is in January, yet National Popcorn Month is October. According to tradition, it is celebrated on January 19th each year. There is some suggestion that Popcorn Day may, at one point, have been tied to the Superbowl. And, we found one reference to it being on January 30th.
On National Popcorn Day, we suggest you pop up some fresh popcorn, kick back and enjoy!
Also note that "Caramel Popcorn Day" is April 7th.

Read a book about penguins. Share it with a child-or just read it for fun. .......

National Hug Day

For some reason, January 21 has become an annual national hugging holiday. The official “National Hugging Day” site — at least, the closest thing we can find to an official site — credits a reverend from Michigan with starting the occasion.
The hugging committee lists President Barack Obama and his family as the most huggable people of 2009, along with some other random folks from across the country.
Squirrel Appreciation Day

On the other end of the spectrum, Squirrel Appreciation Day — also, apparently, falling on every January 21st — is “an opportunity to enjoy and appreciate your tree climbing, nut gathering neighborhood squirrels,” according to the folks at Holiday Insights. So how does one properly “enjoy” them?
“Celebration of the event itself is up to the individual or group — anything from putting out extra food for the squirrels to learning something new about the species,” Christy Hargrove, the woman with the distinctive honor of founding Squirrel Appreciation Day, explains.
Hargrove seemingly started the holiday back in 2001. She’s a wildlife worker from North Carolina.
We think hugging a squirrel would be a great way to bring today’s two traditions together. with love

National Blonde Brownie Day is a special day that is set aside to bake and eat blonde brownies.
What's a blonde brownie, you ask? Well, as their name implies, traditional brownies are a dark brown. To make blonde brownies, light brown sugar is used in the recipe in place of dark brown chocolate.
On National Blonde Brownie Day, its your right and responsibility to bake blonde brownies, and to eat them. If you don't have time to bake today, buy some and eat a few extra blonde brownies.
Note: The use of nuts and frostng on your brownies is optional.

Origin of National Blonde Brownie Day: Our extensive research did not find the creator, or the origin of this day. Perhaps it was someone who wanted a different colored brownie. Perhaps it was a food company. We may never know.
If we ever find the originator, we have one question to ask: "Just what was wrong with regular brownies!?!"

The American Pie Council created this day simply to celebrate the pie.
National Pie Day is a special day that is set aside to bake and cook all of your favorite pies. On this day, you are also encouraged to bake a few new pie recipes. And most importantly, it's a day to eat pies!
A great way to celebrate National Pie Day is to bake some pies and give them away to friends, neighbors, and relatives. You never know, you may be starting a tradition of pie giving between your friends and family.
The American Pie Council sponsors the National Pie Championships. Some of the best pie makers in the world enter their pies. Perhaps you will enter and win the "American Pie Council's Best Pie in America" award.

Origin of National Pie Day: National Pie Day was created by the American Pie Council. The American Pie Celebration began in 1986 to commemorate Crisco's 75th anniversary of "serving foods to families everywhere.
