Hi Oysterzzz .... did you take 3 shots of iron, coz of hemoglobin deficiency or it was something that was recommended by the doctor?

    Hello friends...

can you all please share your meds and your diet?

My vomiting has reduced and I have started to eat, though not much. But I have still not gained any weight. I am in 18th week and have Gyn's appointment next week. Let's see what she has to say this time.

She always says its ok and it happens, but I am real scared of the LO, if he/she is getting proper nutrition.

My prenatals made me very sick, so doc asked me to switch to gummy or chewable vitamins. Has anyone of you tried it?

    Hi Spice,
Yes you are right. my 15th week started just this week. When I posted last time it was my 14th week. I just meant to say that I have completed my 13 week - 1st trimester period but still feeling nauseous.

    Hi Spice,
Don't worry. My gyn too told me that you don't gain much weight for first few months if you eat less.
Apart from the regular ob/gyn I was advised to go to a specialist to do all the NT scan and Verify scan, anatomy scan. Doctor there advised me to eat lots of protein like 80gm protein everyday. I am a vegetarian, so he advised me to take protein shake of whey protein 4 scoops a day, drink 1 gallon (approx. 4 liters of water/fluids everyday).
I am still not reaching there, because 2 scoops itself makes me feel heavy, then I eat less food, and I am trying to drink at least approx. 3 liters of water everyday since last 3-4 days. Water decreases the thickening of blood which increases the flow of blood to the baby.
my breakfast part is done with the protein shake. Does any one have any other idea of incorporating the protein scoops in diet? I eat dal, but according to him, dal does not give much of the required protein. Hope this helps.
I have not tried gummy/ chewable vitamins so I cannot say anything about that.
What do you include in your diet when you feel nauseated? I think oranges, lemons, a bit sour fruits will be healthy at the same time nausea reducing. you may try that.

My doctor also told me if you are not hydrated it makes your blood thick which makes you feel nauseated. It is very hard to drink lots of water.. :bonkand it has not reduced my nausea during morning.. how weird is it I don't know but I throw up after brushing every morning and night.

    Thanks IMB.

    What prenatals are you taking?

My water intake is very less.. may be 1 litre I guess.

There is nothing in particular in diet that makes me nauseas, but whatever i observed so far I tend to avoid eating it - like orange juice, hot milk, too much rice, egg. Also, I walk/exercise very less everyday, so digestive issue could also add up to my nausea.

I always think that I will walk that day, but feel so damned tired after reaching home, that I just feel like laze around. I am thankful to my hubby, who does all the work in the house.

I do not have any diet in particular, especially I struggle for breakfast every morning, I dont know what to eat in breakfast and land up have some biscuits or nuts.

Same here. brushing makes me throw up too. So if for the day I had enough of vomiting, at night I tend to avoid toothpaste and just brush like that. It helps :)

Also in the morning, whenever I throw up, my stomach really hurts. Feels like as if everything is pulled. It pains real bad, even though for few seconds.

I am taking nature made prenatal with DHA. Still being a veggie I have iron and vit d3 deficiency . I feel tired and dizzy whole day because of iron deficiency. So you may have to check your iron levels. I can understand totally how you may feel for going for a walk. I experience the same thing everyday.
try increasing water intake, it will surely help you. Make yourself hydrated then think about food. try finding something which you may like, coconut water, water with lemon juice, cranberry juice, homemade ginger water. try sipping it whole day with very small quantities. from 1 liter do 2 lit for 1 week then 3 lit. you will feel the difference.
Since we throw up a lot, we don't eat/drink much that adds to nausea. My doc told me this just last week. so I have started doing this just for a few days. don't let yourself be hungry. keep on eating something every hour.

Yes, I brush with toothpaste on finger :( taking care of nausea is ruining dental health.

    Hi spice,

i took the iron shots coz of haemoglobin shortage only. Otherwise the irons tabs which we use through out the pregnancy is enough i guess. Minimum required is 11 but i have only 6.9, so the shots. I hope it has increased by now. I also throw up frequently especially while brushing. my doc prescribed iron, calcium tabs and nutrix. thats it.

take care and eat well everyone.
