    Hi Koms,

    Things are fine thanks :)

Even for me itz the first time..so enjoying and thrilled with the happenings

Avoiding oily food completely.Trying to reduce spicy food but nto able to control the urge, so eating mildly spicy and compensating with curd or milk :idea..My gynec is gonna :rant

Try to reduce the intake of salt and sugar..thatz more important..not that you should completely avoid..but reduce it a bit.

Big no for junk foods and fatty items...You should gain weight in a balanced manner and not through these kind of food items.

Drink plenty of water that is very very very important.

Include more fruits and veggies in your diet.

    Include fibre rich foods

    These are all important.

Take care of your health..Proceed as per doctor's advice. Will keep you updated :hiya

Here goes the chart...But do not panic if something is different..Your gynec will sure keep a track of your weight gain..trust in her..take care :thumbsup

What is the ideal weight gain for a healthy pregnancy

A woman should gain anywhere between 12-14 kgs on average. In order that you have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby, you should aim for the following weight:
    Weeks Weight gain (kgs)

    0-10 weeks No weight gain
    10-14 weeks 1.5 kg
    14-20 weeks 2.5 kgs
    20-30 weeks 4.5 kgs
    30-36 weeks 2.7 kg
    36-38 weeks 1.0 kg
38-40 weeks Almost no weight gain

    Total 12-14 kgs

    * You have a buffer of gaining 5 pounds either in the first few weeks or in the last few weeks.
