    HI Friends,

    I have seen a new infertility specialist today. He studied my history and suggested to try IUI for 3 cycles. He asked me to take clomid 50 mg from D3 - D7. On day12 i will be going for sonogram. He also prescribed Ovidrel to be used on Day12. I have used clomid before but i don't have idea of Ovidrel. Can someone give some points? Doc said after ovidrel injection, i will ovulate in 39 hours. For the past one year i have been taking duphaston from D18-D27. Since i was not monitored though i get my periods in 31 days i am not sure whether i am ovulating or not. Please pray for me friends.

    Ovidrel Injection is an HCG shot given when your follicle/s reaches a minimum size of 18mm or more. This injection helps your ovulate as in ruture of the follicle and release the egg in the fallopian tube. Generally u ovulate within 36-40hours of the injection so IUI is planned approx at 30-36 hours so that ideally the sperms can be already inside when the egg releases.

    All the best for your IUI. Take 2 days of rest post IUI and eat lots of proteins and milk products in your 2WW and yes try to avoid stress.

    Doctor asked me to do hpt today.I did this morning and it is positive:cheers.I am very happy today.Today is my day 14 after 1st IUI .Thanks a lot for your advice and prayers.I pray for everyone in this thread to get
