Is This Fake/damaging Henna? (pic),

Hi, im trying to understand why my hair condition has become bad over the past year. Ive been using this local henna (someone bought it for me, no brand name) that creates a very intense color immediately when mixed with hot water, staining hands immediately and strongly. Is this a sign of fake henna? Maybe thats why my hair is so weak now. Ive been using henna for ten years, before it my hair was very weak. Maybe this is not real henna, so my hair is going back to its weak state.
