Is Kaffir Lime same as Narthangai?

    Kaffir Lime leaves, i've come across is used in Asian restaurants. Is that plant the same as our good ol' Narthangai/Citron? Does anyone know? Have you also got Citron in the US?

    yes..it is narthangai elai..and we do use it in south indian cooking..the light green tender leaves are pounded with spices and made into balls for eating with curd rice..

    check out if chitvish mam or krishnamma has given.. ..check it out as vepilai katti..that is how it is called in ambica appalam.. and in traditional homes..
