Is It Unethical To Put My Mom In A Nursing Home?

    How do you deal with aging parent when you live abroad?

    My mom is 76 years old, and she has dementia. I have 1 elder sister and she is also living in abroad. Nowadays my mom does not even know our names and right now she is living with her sister.

    Not unethical provided you find a good place. It is very hard to provide eldercare and take care of your own family, especially when dealing with cognitive decline.
    Is it an option to have your mother live with your aunt but provide full-time attendant support? There are many such home care services available in India.

    LOL... I am an old parent, living abroad.
    I would certainly go to where it would be the best of what I could afford.
    Go ahead; nothing wrong in doing the best for a parent.
