Hi Netfragerin, I just wanted to know if dishwashers are really useful in the India style of kitchen/cooking, as most utensils are metal based. I also want suggestions on Brands based on 1. Reduced noise 2. Minimum size
netfragein, are you using regular basis......if it take 45 min to finish work, is it ok to use daily and how about using stainless steel..
we are using regularly. the dish washer has few settings like 30mts, 50mts, 75mts, 3 hrs, intensive, normal, rinsing, etc. yes.. it is not fully suitable for indian cooking style.. i agree. however, it helps a lot in reducing cleaning efforts. we have lot of ceramic, glass bowls, plates and cups which are perfectly cleaned. steel, iron and alumnium are cleaned well too except if they are burnt under or deep fried or oily or sticky. in that case we first rub off the inside before putting in the washer. another thing to be careful as it wash & dries (temperature about 80 degrees) inside the machine when cleaning, if we dont remove the sticky part b4 putting in, it may get further dried and make it worse for hand cleaning. we found it useful. although as i said we may have to do some work with hand before or after the dish wash. another point to note, it consumes more water+electricity we have it preinstalled in our villa and it is a German brand i guess. name is AEG Electrolux
