Internet, a virtual reality Hey friends of mine through net! Not one I know by face, Nor do I care to know Your caste or creed or race Nor religious background too A criminal or a saint, An intellectual or a fool A celebrity or a non-entity All I have to say is that Bound as one we are Through Indusladies.com We share our poems and hearts, Exchange our views and points, Show concern and love, No personal queries asked Yet warmth there is aplenty In this tiny world of ours I love ye friends a lot From the bosom of my heart Thank you Indusladies.com For the friends provided true. ( This poem was written for another site, I modified it, so some of the lines may not convey the true picture but I didn't want to change a lot) http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/6317-my-poem.html#post50344 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/6585-the-rendezvous.html#post53433 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/6732-an-ode-to-the-astranauts.html#post55080 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/6903-from-womb-to-tomb.html#post57505 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/6834-straight-out-of-my-heart.html#post56516 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/7284-innocence.html#post61064 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/8006-had-the-roses-chosen-wither.html#post67876 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/8592-the-generous-and-the-selfish.html#post74695 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/8076-the-painter-par-excellence.html#post68517 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/8325-out-pages-mother-laws-diary.html#post70722 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/8955-the-debt-we-owe.html#post81410 http://www.indusladies.com/forums/indian-poems/9553-the-song-they-sing.html#post91409
dear malathy, very true, all know each other only by the name only, for some who we could see because of their meet. when here we feel we are amongst now that is a feeling we need to be around long enough to be soaking in like a pickle to realise our blend..sunkan
Dear Malathyjagan, It is very true what you have said about internet and the unknown faces. The world is becoming full of virtual reality. When I go to supermarkets here, the counter girls used to ask,'Hi, how are you? Are you happy' etc. But, beyond that once you leave the counter they will switch off the smile. I used to wonder how they are able to switch on and switch off so fast. Internet familiarity is also a kind of Rail Sneham and the friendship continues as long as you continue as member of the site. Regards, TDU
Hi Malathi, This is so much a new age poem - very apt for the times we live in. It was nice to see your picture in the IL meet and hope we will bump into each other sometime. Thanks for sharing your creativity.
