    hi,

I was curious. good that she loves music. my daughter's guru has told not to teach anything at home. Again different guru's different ideas.
My daughter is also into varnam and kirthanai in between. My son has just started.

    love

    Hello Anjani ma'am,

I take immense pleasure in welcoming all new comers to IL (since there are many new ILites in this thread:cheers) You will enjoy your stay at IL; i assure you that.

My grand mom is a Carnatic singer and she takes classes too. So i learn from her. Am doing small Keerthanais since college work takes much of my time.

Hope to share many music related snippets in this thread!

    Regards

hi-i'm ashwathi sudha's daughter-though i'm not learning carnatic music i love to listen to them and can play quite a few songs on my keyboard.
my pastime is interpreting ragas of film music and matching them with carnatic music.
is there any authentic site to give me more info on this.
i also love western classical- and surprisingly can draw similarities betwen this and carnatic.

    cheers and greetings

    ashwathi.

    Hi Shanvy,

I am a singer in college days. I was very shy & nervous .But today I feel I have lost all the oppurtunities in life.

I have learnt lot of Bhagans very very meaningful songs.

I am more interested in light songs.

Thanks for the online music class. As I am working I have to take out time for music.

    Hi aswathi,

    Welcome.....to you.......
www.sangeetham.com has good discussions and also you can post your queries there.

do you play carnatic only on the keyboard. how do you interpret the note as in the same way as per singing...

my daughter also plays the keyboard...she is more into western...she writes her notes...as she gets the songs.....

So we can have a gala time interpreting ragas...and also film music...i also do the same......
