Interested in karnatic music

I'm also a new member of this site n my name is geetha vani .I'm basically from Srikalahasti ,a near by town to Tirupati,AP,India.Presently I'm living in Seoul,south korea.I'm very found of karnatic music n 've learnt till kirthanas(vocal) from my mother who used to work as a music teacher n a good singer too.

I wished I could learn music completely but because of my sudies,I couldn't do it.Any ways I 'm very happy to know that u r a musician.If I were in US, I would definitely come to u n learn music from u.

But ya we can share our ideas.

Hi,

I am very much interested in music especially Bhajans. I know lot of bhajans. The website " musiconlineindia.com" is excellent where u can listen to songs by any artist u choose. that website contains lyrics too.
I am learning more bhajans & annamacharya kritis now.

For bhajans, just try the Bhajan Kiirtan. and annamacharya kritis, i think shoba raju's renditions are really good. but have not been popularised as mss. you can hear to her renditions at Sri Annamacharya Telugu Saint Composer India Spiritual Devotional Folk Songs Poet

Yes musiconlineindia is good.

I personally have a vast collection. i even record air recordings whenever possible, edit and convert to mp3.. (hobby)
I am compiling for my daughter.

i get books from carnatic book house, royapetah. I liked the old venue then the one they are now in.
