Athirappalli and Vazhachal, the two scenic and popular waterfalls on the edge of the Sholayar forest ranges are just 5 km apart. The Athirappalli Falls joins the Chalakkudy river after plummeting down a drop of 80 feet. Vazhachal is part of the Chalakkudy river. Both the waterfalls, their cool, misty waters cascading down in the backdrop of thick green forest and rocky terrain, are a scintillating experience to visitors. I received these pictures as a forward message, but like them to be here.
Yes,Manju. I have also heard that Athirapalli and Vazhachal are breath taking. I have not visited either, my husband did a quick detour last year and was amazed by their beauty. He is planning to take me there this year.
Dear Manju ma'am, What a treat for our senses!! Beauty personified by nature is well revealed by the breath taking snaps. The peaceful and calm serene opens the bundle of joy and happiness. The optimistic and positive tone of nature inculcates the pleasure within. Many hearty thanks and wishes for a prosperous and healthy New Year. Regards RamyaVaradharajan
