    Hi Everyone,

    I joined IndusLadies just now and after reading the posts from ladies in Birmingham, I am happy that I will be getting many friends here.

    To introduce myself...

    I am Premi from Tamilnadu. I worked as software professional in Chennai for 3 years. Then I resigned my job because I need to take care of my son. My son is now 1 year old. I came to Birmingham 45 days back because my husband is working here. I stay near New street.

    I am a home maker now and looking after my son. I will try to get job after 4 months. My hobby is reading books and listening to music and surfing in net.

    Any person here staying near new street?
    Also, any person from tamilnadu?

    I like to get more details about the indian supermarkets here to buy indian groceries and vegetables. At present we get some in Raja supermarket in Ladypool road and also in Laxmi stores in Dudley.
    Anyone knows any shop other than these ?

    Excited to read all the posts...I am Sathya from Bangalore.Basically a Tamilian, married to a software professional in 2008 and since then I have been in Birmingham UK..solihull in particular.I have a son who is 1.5yrs old.Now am looking for some freelancing job from home.

    I spent my New Year in London along with my relative there...
    My son is 16 months old...Which part of tamilnadu are u from?
    How is your life going after coming here?
    Really it is little difficult for me living here missing parents and friends...

    Sorry for the late reply dear.. I am actually from chennai... but for the past 10 years we have been living in bangalore... same here ma... i am also missing everyone in India... but yes once you have friends around you wil start enjoying life here.. so are you taking your son to some toddler groups?..
