Next month is my dear Dad’s TAVR.

I had been saying Uncle because ppl look down upon taking care of your Dad

    They think you are stupid

you are entitled to think of me what you wish and call me any name (point one finger at me and three point back at you!)

just pray that the TAVR is successful and Dad has long happy healthy life henceforth

because TAVR is not enough, but patient needs to be monitored and take precautions AFTER the procedure

    This is so scary

We went to another hospital where we met with the TAVR team

    Less than a month away

Trying to push push push for legal stuff just in case something goes amiss

scheduled for less than a month away

    unable to sleep

plz pray for God to furfill our prayers for successful heart procedure ❤️ ♥️ ❤️ ❤️ ♥️

@SuiDhaaga - I wish I were able to be there for my parents the way you are!

To the contrary, everyone I know would be all praise for for you. Even if people are not, don’t worry. You are caring for your dad to the best of your ability and knowledge. I hope knowing that is giving you solace.
Regarding the procedure, breathe. Once you have decided on a dr/date/type of treatment, it is good to have faith in your decision. You did go through a lot before coming to this decision. Now, just ensure you stay calm for Dad. Ensure he gets the right pre and post op care. I hope you can also take some time for yourself during this busy time and get some walks or breathing or mediation time so you can stay grounded. Don’t forget to take care of yourself while you do all this for mom and dad.
Hope your dad has a safe procedure and wishing him a speedy recovery.

    Hugs and Hang in there.

Thank you all for your sweet words and kind wishes

We scheduled the Angiogram, followed by the TAVR already.

    it’s in our calendar

I am scared that I may be overlooking some medical things that the Drs are not able to go over

Dr don’t know what will happen before the TAVR so they cannot predict the meds my Dad needs

I am more scared of the medical aspects of the TAVR and how Dad will feel afterwards

Dad is scared of legal and financial things in case something goes amiss

    Hi Sui,
What I feel is taking care of patients is the blessing and only a few get that luck to take care of parents when they need children's support. So, please ignore such people's comments.
May God bless your dad on surgery. So, don't worry and Keep faith in him. Everything will go well. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Please take care of yourself too.

my now 2 yr old daughter went thru open heart when she was one week old. the surgery was from morning till 7.30 pm. we went to see her in room at 8.30... with all the things went after that i myself feared so much thinking how many meds we going to get out of hospital with BUT with God's grace and mercy and with his abundant blessing we got out of hospital with just one medicine, that is also for a month. and she is not on any meds so far..

I understand this is adult but still lets stay strong, calm and everything will be just fine...

    Thank you so much

    I feel like crying

I do 108 Surya Namaskars, bike and some weight bearing exercise to keep the stress away but now as I get closer to operation date it is more hard

    Chocolate helps to some degree

    I sleep a lot

    That must have been scary

    you must be traumatized still

a small child having to deal with the scariness of adults in white and face masks

of course adult is different but I’d be extra super scared if it were my child

I feel I should console you because these things take time to get over

a coworker said look at this like a project plan with due dates and milestones
