Ideas to extend the valentines day to everyday of our life

Valentines day is an imported concept just like mothers day and fathers day from a different culture.According to my dh these are for people who forget to express thier love to the loved ones in thier day to day life and consider it below his dignity to follow it.But from my point of view its always beautiful to celebrate the love of our life,any opportunity to go overboard is welcome.
