    Limping back to normal, Meenu!

    dear meenu,
Though I am not fully normal I forced myself to attend office today. As lying down all day only leads to more of tiredness. Indhu has been a source of strength to me during this period
Take your own time Meenu and come back when you are comfortable.
    regards

    Proud Of your husband, Preethi!

    Dear Preethi,
I am slolwy coming back to normalcy, though I have a way to go.

I am very proud of your husband who takes such an excellent care of you when you are sick.
After reading the posts of many younger ILites, I find that it was I who was a little out of time. Now I have great confidence in the younger generation of men.

    Thanks for the kind wishes,
    sridhar

    hello

thank god u r not sick of writing !
    there is a saying that
when you lie down on the floor(sick)
and perhaps even literally lie down on the floor
you get to see the cobwebs under tables cots etc
    and also cobwebs in people
    (how they treat u when u r down )
from the letters u have received
u seem to have `seen' golden cobwebs
    from ilites
they were busy wishing u well and
didnt have time to swish away real cobwebs !!

    bye
    sathya

    Dear Varalotti..

Yes, like many others here, I too am missing your Wed and Sat thread postings. But it is important for you to get well first and attend to your other pressing commitments..We will wait!
Enjoyed your rejoinders to the TMs...like Varloo says, poor guys, they are doing their jobs, what to do!
A short time back, I too got a call from an indian guy doing his night shift for the Big Boss USA I guess. He said his name was Abhishek...I asked him how Aish was doing....he burst out laughing:))

    Varalotti,

Good to see you back in bouncing health. I wonder, does one plan or decide to fall sick over a certain period? I though illness crept in stealth.

Anyway, I liked the piece, but I too would like to say that TMS personnel are just trying to make a living. Just like dentists, tax collectors, economists and accountants.

Still is a well-written piece and I enjoyed reading it again.

I still marvel at the way you reply to each post individually.

    A Reply In Verse, Sathya!

When I was sick and I lied down
I did not see cobwebs in the cots or on the floor
But I did see them in my mind
Being got used to that one routine
Where I always looked down on others
Though I was down, my wife didn’t look down
She helped me sit and helped me eat
And she helped me see that
What I am is more important that what I do
Thus was it I was cured both of my illness and my thought
The ILites wishes then came down
And made me strong and fine again
No, no, those weren’t cobwebs that bind me
But the prayers that released me and made me see
That pain is also a blessing and sickness, a bonanza
Thank you Sathya, I am fine again
And thanks for the poem once again

    Thanks Kamla, I am back!

Nice to know about your Aish rejoinder to Abishek! There are only two possible reactions to TMs, one is getting annoyed and shouting at them; other is smiling and asking about Aishwyarya Rai or a loan of Rs.15000 crores.
    thanks Kamla

    Thanks Vidya!

If Illness were to come by the front door I would have blocked its entrance. Even if it had tried the rear, I would have been more alert. But alas, it crept in when I slept and made me sleep for days on end.
However if it is possible to plan or decide on illness I thought it would come rather handy. If the tax officer asks a very comfortable question I can plan my sickness then and there and thus escape the nasty enquiry. But it is not given to us ordinarly mortals.
I have heard about iccha mrthyu like Bhesshma who can die when he wants to. But this iccha rogam is something new.

Unfortunately TM's job encroaches on our job and instead of shouting at them it is better we make them smile so that for a moment they will forget about their unenviable job.

Thanks for the nice words, Vidya.
    regards,
    sridhar
