    Hi ihsmn,

In nihari you can also put meat (like lamb or beef) with tongue and paaya

In sire-paaya it is only the jaw meat, tongue and paaya of the lamb

Desiprincess, I saw your recipe for chicken biryani. I want to make vegetable biryani but don't know how and at what step to substitute vegatables. Can you please help me? Thanks

Raj, for veges you can first fry them in oil and then mix them with yougurt and spices... after half cooking the rice you can line your heavy bottom pan with a layer of rice then the veges+yougurt and then rest of you rice... put in the oven at 350 until the rice is done...hope this helps and is not too late....

    Hi there,

One of my friends made me a dish which you supposedly ate with biryani.

I saw her make it but I do not know the name and I'm looking for the recipe.
Its a hyderabadi recipe and I'm hoping you can help me with it.

    Its a tomato dish.

She used sesame seeds, coconut, green chillis, ginger garlic and a few other ingredients which I forgot, and cooked it and put in whole/halved tomatoes to cook for an hour or so in a covered pot.

It was like a tomato green curry.
Any ideas what it was called?

    Hi,
Maybe she made Bhagare Baigan with tomatoes rather then with eggplant.... you can try this chitvish recipe and not use eggplant but halved pieces of tomatoes...
