    My clothes look good,it still fits well.However...but I want to dress in a way which is age appropriate and not younger just coz it suits or fits me.

    I want to look elegant,stylish,classy and sometimes even sexy in a subtle way (why not:))

    I do not want to hide my age nor do I want to wear frumpy,boring clothes.

    How to look good for your age with the right fashion?

    What are the brands I should start choosing?

    What are some do's and don'ts after a certain age?

    Make an appointment with a personal shopper at a good store like Nordstrom. Explain to her your likes and dislikes and what look you are going for. She will pull together pieces and outfits and you will have a somewhat curated selection to try out. You don’t have to buy everything they suggest and it will be a good starting point to begin building your style.
    I don’t know how things are working right now with Covid.

    :hello:Naturally, the thread is ladies Domain. Men are forbidden to bother in similar context!

    2. Men dress and apparel’s are sported these modern day’s by women too. Girls like to wear boy’s dresses.

    3. Some young wives try draping husbands’.

    4. But with handful of responses and still staying at page one, I am taken aback. With such a nice post posing fundamentally strong queries, posting after 18 hours how come OP’s staunch followers have not responded yet.

    5. Of course one’s daughters in their prime could throw up lot of suggestion on dos and donuts. Many check up online magazines exclusively deal with fashion updates for forty and over for women & men too!

    6. Femina & good house keeping are magazines in beauty parlours to keep the waiting ones to get updated on fashion.

    7 VIDHYA BALAN - A bold among celebs at 42 in Bollywood makes beautiful fashion statement to an English magazine cover page wrapping herself only in News Paper and in forty’s avers that
    “ ,,,,, after attaining forty only I feel how important it is to remain attractive and remain looking young... ..between twenty and thirties I was journeying with my dream.... after reaching thirty an eternity passed just to understand me & then now only in forty’s I might begin enjoying life... “

    8. I was just thinking how my spouse planned her forty’s haberdashery.

    I wish by and by many of OP’s followers would replenish this thread with varieties of answers to her three queries and enrich it to progress to more pages.

    Look up Top shop, Loft, Ann Taylor, White House black market etc for casuals or semi formals. Some styles at express sometimes work. For dresses, I just walk into Nordstrom and have a shopper help me. I seldom remember the brand names.
