How To Stretch Winter Hat While Sewing Rhinestones

I sewed Rhinestones on a winter hat

When I wear it, the design looks different because it stretches

I no like!

Now I am purchasing tiny round silver rhinestones as a space filler. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QJ1ZR45/

How do I stretch hat while I sew rhinestones onto it.

I checked amazon for head mannequins but
1. They are not cheap
2. They look scary!

What is an inexpensive, non-scary way to stretch my hat while I sew my designs?

1. there are styrofoam manequins check dollar tree etc.

2. You can use any round thing -ball, vessel. All you want is stretch, no matter its egg shape, round or exactly head round

3. No one will see stretched out stones that close. From picture it looks fine.
I have couple store bought hats for me and my daughter with some embellishments but nothing with stones so can not say.
4. All these crafts is like a journey. Nothing will be perfect unless you are many years into this or doing it full time or professional. So do not worry.

Thank you for the feedback and ideas

I guess I didn't realize that from afar, the stones look fine.

Anyway the other rhinestones I ordered have arrived. They are tiny, not the size they advertised (not worth creating a complaint to return it). Will likely use tiny rhinestones to embellish.

I finished sewing in the blue rhinestones.

The front designs look fine but the side ones look too spread out.

I’ll likely add few contrasting white rhinestones (hope I get the right size this time!)
