Hi all, I do not have GC or citizen ship. How you invest your $$ in US ? As H1 take years to get the green card we can't settle anywhere by buying a property. Is there any good mutual funds or investment plans here in US ?? Anybody ever invested in US other than property & 401 k . Bank doesn't give much interest in US I was wondering if there is any other investment plans .Please suggest .
I am assuming you are on H1. Do take part in 401k as your company will mostly match 100% of 3% of your income of more depending on the company. Apart from this, Vanguard has good low-cost index funds where you can open a investment account and an IRA as well.
