Now-a-days I am making pongal only with this thinai (fox tail millet rice). It is very tasty and also good for health.

No Rakhii.. this is not quinoa.. This is millet similar to pearl couscous.. But these are very small and grainy.. It will be hearty meal.. I love this millet and make dosa, Upma or kichcadi out of it.. Very filling too

Hello Shree & Rajameenakshi, I brought these from chennai. We do get pearl millet(kambhu) in LULU but i didnt find thinai or samo. Thinai( non husked) is available in Seeb Market. They sell it as bird feed. May be you can try it once Haridas Nensey Ruwi.
