    Hello

    I’m trying to send a gift to friends in India. I’m trying to send with amazon.in. But it won’t let me use a US credit card.
    If I try to use amazon.com it won’t deliver to India. What is the way out of this ?? Help !! The birthday is already over.

    My husband has Indian Credit card that he uses to send gifts in India.

    You can only send items listed in Amazon.in to India you can not send items listed in US Amazon site, credit cards will work fine.

    I tried several US credit cards. Called the banks to see if the cards are declining. They said they don’t even see the transaction. Does anyone have any other advice ? Both my husband and I don’t have Indian credit cards. And we are not the kind of people to ask friends for money related issues.

    I think you are doing something wrong, I sent gifts even last month on Amazon using US credit card.

    Are you on Amazon.in ?

    Finally! I tried american express card. At least it says the order is placed. I will keep my fingers crossed till the item is delivered. And most importantly I hope there are no foreign transaction fees which are higher than the cost of the item. But oh well.. I need to compromise!

    I have also faced similar issue. So, I contacted amazon.in. They said its an ongoing issue with international credit cards and they are trying to fix it. You can use chat window of amazon.in to check if its fixed. I havent tried again.

    There are credit cards with no transaction fee. I think amazon credit card wont charge transaction fee
