Dear IL'ites, Joanna is my friend. We both went to business school together. She is super cool. She is one of the most helpful and enterprising ladies I know. We have spent countless hours on the phone talking about all her business ideas. A few weeks ago, she sent me an email saying whether I know anyone at a particular company, lets call it Widget Inc. She told me that she owns a particular domain name and wanted to see if Widget Inc. would be interested in buying it. Unfortunately I didn't know anyone at Widget Inc. and told her so. That was the end of it. Today, I got a call from Joanna and we caught up on life's events. I then asked her what happened to her efforts to sell that domain name to Widget Inc. She said, "I have a good story for you". She proceeded to tell me how she ended up selling that domain name to Widget Inc for $60,000. She probably paid $15 for it. I was very very impressed. After chatting about other things, we ended the conversation. After thinking about it, I called her back and told her, "You MUST share this story at Indusladies.com. There are a lot of very talented Indian women at IL who would be inspired by your story and get a pointer or two about making money in the US". She instantaneouly agreed. I see a lot of women in our forum asking tips about data-entry jobs. While any job is good, if we a think a little smarter, there is a lot of money to be made in the US and Joanna's story is one such thing. Hope you all will enjoy.
