    Hi suja,

    Thanks for your comments. these podis will help you a lot. they will help you to cook quickly and perfectly. you can train your husband or children to cook easily with these podies. when you are tired, you can make just rice and you can mix one of these podis with rice and ghee. then have curd rice. that is all. so try to keep some of them.

    please tell how to make -the semi liquid mixture used for adding to boiled rice,-i.e. the tamarind rice paste

    we call it as     Puliyodharai and I have given the recipe in "Mixed rice varities". Let me give the link here. This is 'ready made puliyodharai'
    Another one I gave in Basic Paste section . that is Pulikaichal. Let me give that link also. Please go through it and give me a feed back. whether you need the same.
