I am shocked to know that this happens in lots of villages and towns in haryana...
People kill others in the name of honor killing..
does really killing get honor to their community???

why do they kill anyone who marry in same village or go for intercaste marriages...

I wonder didn't even a single couple survive in these places who went for intercaste marriage..

And why do they behave that way to dalits and all..

Do still people feel secure and happy staying in such kind of place??

Dont they feel like running away from such places on getting a chance?

Going to school, college and doing PG is not called being 'EDUCATED' in true sense. Yeah, we can call that highly literate people.

Please try to understand the difference between being Educated and being literate. Education should come with literacy but when that does not happen then it remains as a bunch of words which do not change the attitude.

I really get shocked to read about honour killings, that too in this day and age. Even the police and the administration is either helpless or actually helps the parents/panchayat to trace the runaway couple. In a recent incident, the police arrested the boy and sent away the girl to her parents. In a day or two, the girl died of "lung infection".
The boy is following up the case and cases have been lodged. Even the erring police personnel will have to explain.
    It appears that

Young lovers fall foul of Jat traditions. As per Jat customs, marriage within the same gotra and the gotra of one’s parents is not permitted. In addition, same village marriages are not allowed. Once villagers get to know, the Khap Panchayat is summoned which more often than not orders the couple to separate on the pain of death. Many a time the death of young couples involves police investigation and trouble for the Khap Panchayat leaders.

Well, after all their wrong doing, it appears the Khap Panchayat are worried. The Khap Panchayats have been stung by their criticism in the media. In a recent meeting held in Rohtak, the Sarv Khap Panchayat, an umbrella organization of the various khaps, resolved to suggest amendments to the Hindu Marriage Act with the aim of disallowing same-gotra and same-village marriages as per Jat tradition. The Khap Panchayat plan to ask for the amendments at the state level so that Khap leaders won’t fall foul of the law when they ask for annulment of marriages.

Rather I can say a better idea
cause it happened once that a couple married this way and no one objected but later were killed
    that is really worse

at least if they make it legal things would be better
they need not face a bad name
and what they wants also would be done
