Hello friends!
Here are a few lines about the Brij Festival celebrated in Bharatpur, Rajasthan in the month of March. Brij festival takes place few days before Holi in honour of Lord Krishna. The Holi festival which is close by adds gusto and fervour to the festival.

During the festival villagers can be seen dancing and singing in their brightly hued attires. The highlight of the festival is the Raslila dance, where the eternal love story of Radha and <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:smarttags" />Krishna is enacted. The whole Bharatpur becomes lively with the sound of folk melodies. Everybody is touched by the spirit of this festival and the festive mood can be seen at every nook and corner of Bharatpur.

I would like my fellow ILites from Bharatpur to share more about the festival.:idea
