help for getting microwave containers

    hey all :)

    I really need help !! i need microwave containers. I got 2-3 from Inorbit mall.... but when i used them they apparently broke...melted etc etc.... :( ....can anyone please suggest what to buy....where to buy microwave containers which can be used for cooking ,baking.....and please suggest me price range too.... i want to bake cakes,biscuits and make curries...

    Go for glassware.... you can use them for cooking and baking...not only in MW...but in convection mode too.

    thanks for reply phalguni :) ..... but where to get them ?? The one i bought it Inorbit mall had "safe for microwave " written on it.... but when i used them just for 5minutes they cracked and melted :(

    :eek:mg:!Sorry for the bad experience Pavani......I was under the impression that you have used the "mw safe plasticware"....
    BOROSIL is a trusted brand and I am using it since five years without any problem....You should get it in reputed stores...hope our friends from hyd can suggest the shops names.

    In one of the previous threads our dear friend Shanvy said..

    ."One word of caution when using borosil/ or any glass bowls , be careful that there is no water on the outerside of the glass and also when u take it out of the MW, ensure there is no water or liquid at the place where u place it..as the glass will break."

    haha okay Even i didn't knew this...thanks for mentioning it here...or else i would not have seen that :)...yeah i trying for borosil too :) ...

    As chaitu suggested, Tupperware products are the best for MW. I have been using those colorful containers since 5 years, no breakage or repair yet. They are the best for MW and food will be fresh for 10 hours.

    yeah, borosil micorwave glass bowls are good.. got them in many sizes and shapes...

    there is a shop opposite jagadmaba pearls in MG road, secbad... i dont remember prices-... got them 5 yrs back !!
