priyankab, First This has to be sorted with your mom . Having said this I want to add it is no big deal managing .I know it is difficult in this time esp when you are joining college. It is no big deal as within 3-4 months you will get to grow your hair in inches . Just plan your day in start of holidays and also you can use wigs for 3 months (one of my college mate used wig for almost a semester as she had tonsured her head ) then after wards you can choose your hairstyle depending on the length of hair boy cut,bob cut, etc etc . you can experiment with your hair as it grows

I do not think we should take this thread seriously at all anymore, I mean look at the recent response, again asking for videos...even though I had suggested to google it if interested. :bonk Jeez why would you want to see videos......I mean come on.
It's a personal choice. I would NOT do it, but that's just me. Some apparently (here's looking at you True ) have no problem with it. So.... either way it's up to you. And like True said, hair grows back so it's not like a death sentence. Do what you can live with.
Hello Priyanka, Sure, you are in a predicament ! Am not sure, what I would do in your situation. But, I can freely advice yo. If I were you, I would check my mom's pulse. If she is very sensitive to the offering that she made, then I would shave my head, and be ready to face the people. (probably will tell myself, I resemble Demi Moore in "G I JANE") It all depends upon whether you are mentally prepared to face the people around you. Good Luck !
