Deepavali always fills me with nostalgia - of an era when the words pollution and calories had no meaning for us and the festival was all about loads of sweets, the brightest of new clothes and firecrackers all day. Now, the times may have changed. But the spirit hasn't. Let's all find new ways to celebrate Diwali, create new traditions and continue to make the happiest of memories with our families and friends. Wishing you and yours a very happy Deepavali.
Wishing you and your family also a very happy Deepavali @Cheeniya sir. Truly missing those carefree days back in India where we would know Diwali is coming soon when the kitchen used to be a bustling with preparing bakshanams, followed by ganga snaanam, donning of new clothes and bursting of crackers on Diwali morning.
ver, Dear Chee niya sir, Happy Diwali. Yes....the way of celebrating was different before. Ways may have been changed still people are celebrating with the same spirit. Now.....parties, gold, silver, expensive gifts, new type of crackers and on and on. But enthusiasm is still there. You have three generations in your home....Happy Diwali to all of you. Syamala
