Since you seem to have a genuine question i will try to answer it:

Yes. She may be offended if you try to contact her and explain your opinions about it.

There is nothing wrong in men trying to understand issues of women. Read up as much as you want. Men and women both have to understand each other as a gender.

The difference is in reading and posting and the OP clearly mentioned "reply" in the subject.

Now what constitutes an absolute women thread could be discussed. Threads for women hygiene, women inner wear, grooming etc are discussions best to left to women unless you guys plan to ask your female partners and let them know that you are enquiring for Indusladies and post your opinions here. Personal experiences are what these women are looking for in such things and there are more than enough women to answer them here.

Again this will not address every woman's limitations here but it is a stepping stone towards it.

If one (male/female) does it properly and with sincere efforts, life would be a lot more easy and smooth one.

More than half of conflicts in real life arises due to the lack of understanding of the other gender's attitude and thought process.

vibha..please read thru the original posts by the op and as well soka....

    I see only good info...

btw OP has many things listed...

males don't respond to ttc, ema and other ladies related stuff
dont try to reach out thru pm.

there are ways to handle this maturely and as an adult in both.

as many would have done here, you have settings to block, report etc of unwanted PMs. Of course it will be irritating, but what do you expect in a forum which is open to all? A man can impose as a woman and we will have no clue whatsoever, and vice versa...

about ttc, ema, I guess she cannot generically say that, it all depends in the member opening it, if they don't care and mature enough to handle different opinions, why should we bother... Also Hearing from the opposite sex how their mind works helps.. End of the day isn't what this site about, hearing so many views about a problem.. I guess many OPs would be happy to hear what men has to say because many wound be able to discuss such issues with men in their real life.

    Anyways.. Ciao...

Ufff........ Took considerable time to complete this thread.

Agreed, some were/ are sending unacceptable messages... there is a mechanism to handle that. Follow it, simple. And if one is having some suggestion regarding male participation inform that to admins. There is a feedback & support section always showing next to the side bar, post there. Whoever in agreement with the idea will post the votes. If someone is new, tell them about the procedure... instead of that why we are discussing & taking to personal levels. This thread simply shows the way any issue gets exaggregated and ends somewhere in a different platform from where it is started.

As much as I promised myself I would not write back. But the re-posting of this particular post has lured me back.

I am not sure about other posters, but now I feel like I have a burning desire to explain why I found this post extremely offensive. I think I would probably not even have paid attention to this post had it come from a male poster, from whom I expected this response. I think what really upset me is that this post was made by someone, who I have always found to be very sensitive to women's issues and who I thought would not say something that verges dangerously on telling what the women needs to do.

This is how I interpreted the following post. I see this post as a guy telling a woman, without considering his male privilege, how she should react to a PM. Of course, the first portion of it is informative, had it been stopped there it would have been fine. But then there is this suggestion that one has to behave in a certain way if one wants to come across as an educated adult and take responsibility for one's participation. Far too often in non-virtual world women are told to to rationalize creepy behavior and "ignore" such behaviors.

I agree not all men are predatory, but I or in this case the OP should have the right to decide if I see a PM as an assault to my personal space or as predatory. Don't tell me what is predatory and what is not. Telling someone to act like an educated adult and take responsibility for their participation, puts the onus on the person receiving the PM and absolves the sender of their responsibility.

None of the male posters here felt the need to say that male posters should act like educated adults and take more responsibility for their actions. After all the stupid action of a handful is maligning the name of many.

This whole thread has been a huge learning experience for me.
