Dear ILs, Cats are such a sweet and loving animals, they are smart and quick learners too. But only thing is, to start grooming them at very young…. You can bathe, brush teeth, clean their ears, trim nails (claws) too…… etc…. But handle them carefully….. We trained our cats (kittens) to use litter box/tray (as toilet) filled with sand. But change them often and keep both the sand and box clean. Cats prefer everything to be clean. Bathing: It is not a difficult task to wash cats… we used to place them inside a basin (they stand holding the edge of the basin as support) and pour warm water. good shampoos for cat may be used. cover their face with one hand while pouring water, and take care to avoid it entering ears, nose and eyes… (my cat Sweety enjoy her bath, but Rani used to give loud meow everytime water touch her) Wipe them dry. With ear buds carefully clean their ears.. cats enjoy brushing their entire coat and make sure it is free from fleas and ticks. Food Habits: As a kitten it is better to let them feed on mother’s milk. As they grow up, rice, fish and milk my be given. Their favourite milk, butter, fish, sometimes bread crumbs, biscuits.… It is advisable that they should be taken to vet every 3-6 months.
