Most interfering by grandparents can have positive short and long term effects. But, it remains an interfering nonetheless.

There's beneficial interfering, harmful interfering and neutral interfering. Ideally, the younger parents should not have to deal with any type of interfering. A one time "please don't.." should be enough for the older, experienced grandparents to back off with no drama.
