May be it would be wise to first start training your daughter on a lower grade
level now itself(since you said she doesn't understand hindi) and gradually move on to higher grades.Don't worry she'll be able to catch up soon.

On a different note, Some schools give kids an option to select 'Special English' instead of native_language[tamil/malayalam], but usually hindi will be marked as mandatory.

This is Anamitra. I have already post a comment on good scools in Coimbatore in another thread. As faf as my knowledge there are many good schools in Coimbatore like Stanes, Indian Public school, St.John's Matriculation school Etc. Especially in St.John's Matriculation school, equal importance is given to extra curricular activities. I liked the behavior of the staff as well. Teachers are very kind to the students.

Oh! Anamitra, I felt very happy on seeing your comment on St.John's Matriculation school in Coimbatore because I had my son enrolled in St.John’s Matriculation School in Coimbatore and he loved it. The teachers and teacher aides he had were wonderful. I felt safe with him at the school because of the fenced in property and the fact that the staff always knows who is walking in that front gate. The education he recieved at St.John’s paid off. My son is a Sr.Electrical engineer working in Melbourne, Australia. Now my grandson goes to St.John’s Pre-school in Coimbatore. The school is looking better and the staff is working hard, St.John’s has a bright future ahead of it. My heartiest thanks to St.John's school for giving a good future for my sonBow

I am Arundathi from USA. My husband and myself is working here for the past 03 years. This year we are getting transferred to Coimbatore, Tamilnadu. I was looking for a good school in Coimbatore for my kids and came across your comments about St.John's Matriculation Higher secondary school in Coimbatore. I contacted them over phone and enquired the details of admission. They were really very kind and explained me the admission procedure. I am little bit worried whether I would get the admission for my son because almost the admissions are over. I would be happy if i get the admissions for my kids.
