Re: good schools in coimbatore.. My cousins studied in Stanes and they have told that the school concentrates on extra curricular activities more than academics.. hope this info will also help you choose school according to ur interest. Regards Sai Nirav
Re: good schools in coimbatore.. hi Amrita Vidyalayam, Nallampalayam is a good school with lot of extra curricular activities and the specialty about the school is the value education they are imparting to the students.
Re: good schools in coimbatore.. As I am born & brought up at Coimbatore my preferences are: If it is a boy, better put him at Stanes, of course admission is tough and no donations. Next options are Suguna Pips play school for pre-kG to 1st std, Indian Public school at Tatabad, Kikani school at RSPuram or Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan at R.S.Puram. If you need CBSE better opt for Kendriya Vidyalaya at Redfields- Puliakulam. If it is a girl they can be also admit at Stanes, St.Joseph's Matriculation, Avila convent. Education at coimbatore has no problem. We have to struggle to get seats as mostly all schools have enough patronage from their own old students. Subbu

Re: Searching for Good School and Admission Not really sure whether you found a school for your kid or still looking to send her to India. I beg to differ in my opinion about schooling in US. US schools are more practical oriented with less syllabus that helps the students to learn the basics very clearly. In India Quantity is more preferred over quality. Plus, you have to also look at the cost of putting your kid to boarding school (seperation from parents) in addition to the huge portions they have to read and learn.
