Not sure where in the US live..so u will haev to look up in ur neighborhood. Now Amercan Eagle is 22k and still has one troy oz of gold in it but since its 22k its a bit heavier than mapleleaf. AE also has a higher premium . Most desi jewllery stores may not carry AE. For lower premium options u can look for bars like credit suisse. Depending on how many coins u want to buy online stores may or may not be a good option. U can try kitco.com,apmex.com Most jewellery stores in India just take ur coin based on the gold rate for that day and then u can buy jewellery of ur choice. If u have a family craftman who makes them for u then u would need to talk to them.
