Going Off Watsapp,phone App,facebook Etc..

    When I mean social media..not just Facebook but I took off even watsapp and phone call app from my phone.

    True..except for few friends and my parents ..do not even care about calling the rest nor do they care.

    Sometimes it is so irritating to have contact with a certain family member
    And just to see their name even on watsapp triggers me.I cannot help but check watsapp and other social media in and off..


    I don’t know if am doing to right thing by shunning away completely but just want to do this until I feel emotionally okay..

    I did this yesterday morning and strangely feel so good.It feel like I deleted the negativity in my life..
    Slept very well too..feeling fresh.

    How long is this practically possible?Dont know..Since am not working..no worries about office calls plus am not having too many friends so no loss.

    As of now..will enable it every week once just to talk to my mom,well wishers and my friends.

    Just want to share and journal this:)

    Thank yourself for doing this.
    Social media detox is very good especially in these times when people post each and every silly thing.
    It maybe difficult initially but then in long run it will help you.

    It's good decision

    On and off away from FB or instagram will help you. You can deactivate for few months then activate when you're ready.

    I subscribed more useful groups in fb which helps me to learn productively rather than looking into others status and comparing myself. I started this since March 2019 ...

    Whatsapp yes it triggers me a lot as well especially some people doesn't deserve to be in my contacts...I started to deviate myself focusing on people I like sendiy messages and just maintaining those people on my main list.

    Good vibes started when I stopped looking into other pics or statuses....just focusing on myself...

    Digital detox / digital minimalism is need of the hour.
    Good start. Me & my friends stopped using social media, mobile on weekends. It helped us being more productive at home front.
    Better to let go of people who give negative vibes and trigger bad memories.

    OK I have a dumb question but better to ask here than to the gyani-antaryami (wise-omniscient) people in the family.

    How to disable an app like WA or FB on phone?
    When it is enabled back once a week, do messages from the past 4-5 days show up?

    I just deleted the app..

    I don’t think the messages will get back..

    But honestly I don’t even care in my case:)

    Away from social media is giving peace then you did right thing. Do your mom and well wishers have another phone number to reach you( In case they need to talk/share some important things)??
