    --------- ----- ------
    Stale wind of past,

    Pauses,

    Reluctant to retreat,

    Evoking murmures

    Of sympathy

    In fledglings.........foliage,

    Rivulets........flowerets........

    But dawn as of wont,

    smiles shiny,

    Over new blood of buds,

    While fresh zephyr

    Trailing fragrance of jasmine,

    Champak......Mallik..........

    Glides softly

Through rainbow of peace and hope,

    Weaving, spraying

    Sprigs of love,

    GIFTS OF NEW YEAR--BORNE!

    Zephyr

Lovely usage of words Pankaja. Zephyr, a word which is not used often, is so calming. I liked the flow of the poem.
    Give us more poetic gems,
    Sharada

You Enetered With a Bang, Pankaja!

    Dear Pankaja,
A simple yet a profound poem that has a soothing effect on the aching nerves. You have entered the IL site with a bang.
The site has many poets and writers who inspire others. But from the replies you have garnered I can infer that you inspire the poets and writers themselves.
Looking forward to great posts from you, Pankaja.

    Thanks a Lot, Pankaja!

You know what's the first and foremost need of a story teller? Not plots, themes, settings et al. But people - good people, loving people genuinely interested in what the story teller has to say. I found that in this great site and hence I am pouring out what I have written onto the site. There are many receptive minds but also really good hearts who not only listen but also reward me with their words.
thanks for the nice words. I respect comments from veteran poets like you. I am looking forward to receiving your beautiful comments beneath each of my writing.
