You will get more ideas if you shop around all places in Mylapore & finally decide, depending on your budjet & size of the gift. Love, Chithra.

What an interesting discussion 1)Do you know the always, evergreen gift would be "KumKum Boxes"(kum kum Barani"),according to the budjet you can select from silver to stainless steel. But you must select the latest models of the same instead of the usual models. 2)Small pictures of deities which can be kept in purse,or pasted in some notebooks, dairy or in books. You can find that in temples. 3)artificial lamps("Vilakku" in tamil) can also be chosen. But i don't think whether we can be make a good use of it.In present days priority is given for space saving.Especially if you are residing in apartments.Because in most of the apartments, provisions are not given for separate pooja rooms.
Dear Chitra, Very nice ideas and thanks for the bonus beautiful pictures.Where do we get all these items in Madurai?Am I asking too much?
Dear Mohana, I bought the kola thattus from Madurai Kovil kadai. The rest of the things - he he he :tongue . I don't think, you get in Madurai. You have to necessarily break journey in Chennai & be my guest to buy all these gifts! I will carefully emplane you to Aruppukottai ! Love, Chithra.
