Gifts for Seemantham - in NJ

    Hello Ladies,

    This is Smitha expecting my first born in July this year. My mom is planning for baby shower(traditional seemantham) in first week of july. Any ideas of return gifts to the attendees?

    My mom is already planning to get very small silver Ganesh dieties to put in return gifts. But what else can we give apart from that? I feel only diety idol would be too blanc. Any ideas????

    Smitha, first of all congratulations! Hope you are having a fun filled pregnancy.

    I am planning for Seemantham for my SIL (last week of June this year) and we were also planning for a small Ganesha idol along with 1 apple, 1 banana, flowers, taambulam (dont know the Hindi word for this), 4 bangles each and of course dinner.
    Perhaps we can include a blouse piece also.
