Gauging interest for a Meetup - 21st December, 2013 (Saturday)

Hi all ladies in Qatar!!

Would anyone be interested in a meetup?

The last time I was a member I remember we had a meetup in Al Saad. It was a potluck and we had loads of fun. I dont know if everyone from that party is still in here.

Anyways, how about another meetup? This time in a park - Barzan Park. A picnic meetup. It is a bit far for people from south of Doha/Qatar. But totally worth the trip.

BARZAN Olympic Park > Barzan - Entrance fee QAR5 per person.

December 21st is a Saturday. Since it is winter we can do a morning picnic. Saturday morning traffic will be less so we all can get there in time. Maybe a 10:00am to 2:00pm picnic. 3 weeks to plan if there is enough interest

Activities:
1) There is a shaded Playarea with loads of climbing stuff for kids
2) A dancing fountain. Kids can take a fountain bath (if you wish)
3) Loads of greenery for us to chill out. Benches and shaded area also.

Each one of us can bring something, so that we can all have a light lunch before leaving.

Great idea Soann... Sounds good except for the venue distance, feel its little far off.

Worried only about the transport. I am in, if my transportation issue is sorted out.

Where do you stay?

If everyone finds the distance difficult we could change the venue then. How about the Dahl Hammam Park near Landmark? They too have several play areas within the same park. But don't think food is allowed in there.

Any other suggestion?

I stay in Al Nassr. Landmark park is ok for me. I'd been there twice but don't have idea about taking food from outside.

Lets wait for others opinion too and then decide about the place.

Another option is the Aspire park. It is large. As far as I know food is allowed. But no play area right? Just grass and pond. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I would love to meet up. Aspire park or landmark is OK with me...barzan...seems too far away. N on Saturdays my music class ends only at 10 am. After 10 is good for me

I think Aspire park should be good. Since I know for sure that picnic is allowed in there. Anybody who wouldn't like it in Aspire park?
